Reviewthere’s nothing really amazing about this film, but that’s not to say it’s not good. theron’s performance was worthy of the oscar, but not worthy of ebert calling it one of the cinema’s best performances. it’s a thought-provoking and often moving film, but it rarely reaches the level of emotion for which it strives. it’s not that theron’s performance, or the subject matter was without emotional resonance, it just somehow fell short for me.
