Review

the film’s dialogue and plot seemed to be written by two different people. the dialogue was funny, topical and edgy and the plot was pedestrian and obnoxious. for example, laura linney is able to access the president elect within 24 hours, but it takes her three days to tell him what she came to tell him. the conspiratorial aspects were cheesy and poorly drawn. there were some pointed bits of commentary along with some referential comedy. funny stuff here and there, but nothing that really made me laugh all that much.
