Reviewcult film that doesn’t cut it. it’s solidly directed and the fight sequences are decent (thanks to gary kent), but everything else is pretty uninteresting. the characters aren’t particularly interesting or dynamic, the commentary (if there is one) isn’t as compelling as that of easy rider, and the acting has only a few high points. presumably, people like this film because of the kitsch factor and some comic moments, but the characters just aren’t all that sympathetic and it mostly meanders from one adventure to the next. the ending got a rousing applause and laugh from the audience, but i was unmoved by it.
