takes a little while to hit its stride, but is a strong film once it does. it’s actually more a film about a man and the impact his job has on his family, than it is a history of the c.i.a. certainly it tells that story as well, but it focuses more on the sacrifices of damon’s character and the lack of family life he has as a result of his position. it is also about the nature of trust and the consequences of deceit.
