fun film that captures what it’s like to be a fanatic very well. barrymore isn’t my favorite actor, but she has a way of playing the girlfriend pretty well in films like this and 50 first dates. it also captures the plight of the boston red sox franchise and the pain of their fans. if you don’t feel at least a little sorry for them after this then you’re either a yankee fan or a heartless devil worshiper; though i suppose they’re one and the same. funny film.
