i’ve never heard this called a great film, but i think it is. i’ve seen it several times and it never gets old. tony scott has such a good control of suspense here that the film really flies by. sure it steals from the das boot mold, but the characters and direction make it good enough to not matter. of course i also like the political commentary and the racial conflict that the film presents. a tautly told thriller.
