Review

it’s a different kind of horror film. it’s a film that i think could be very effective for certain people, but didn’t frighten me a bit. the story follows a detective from the mainland of ireland who is searching for a lost girl. it turns out that the whole missing person thing is a ruse to get a christian on the island to be sacrificed to the sun god. it’s successful in that it conceals, until the last moment, exactly what the nature of the town is. we know that things aren’t quite right, but we’re not really sure where everything is going. christopher lee and the lead are good.
