fairly good kung-fu comedy in the tradition of early yuen woo-ping/jackie chan stuff. the comedy is a little more western and the fighting is unreal. yuen woo-ping seems to have an unlimited creativity when it comes to fight choreography. unfortunately i felt that the direction sometimes detracted from the effectiveness and flow of the fight scenes. sometimes chow would use too much slow motion or would cut a scene in a way that wouldn’t quite capture the energy.
