a strong performance from mark wahlberg and a good script keep this one good. it has a good balance of action, comedy and drama. most of the actors do a serviceable job. good, fitting soundtrack. the hockey sequence is poorly directed, but that’s expected since i doubt very much if singleton has watched many hockey games in his life. part of the ending is similar to that in the recruit.

overall a good film, but not one that’s likely to stick with me very long.
