mockumentary detailing the minnesota teen america pageant. it’s basically a “best in show” film with a darker humor and has teenagers as the subject, instead of dogs. surprisingly there were some good comic performances from kirstie alley, denise richards, kristen dunst, ellen barkin, and more. the end of the film peters out a bit as the story moves outside of the small town setting.
