a solidly acted and filmed affair. it’s the kind of film that i know i should like, but i just never got into. i don’t think it’s the filmmakers’ fault because the filmmaking and execution were good, but, like i said, i just didn’t connect with it. the score gets a little bland after a while, and the ending is a predictable tear-jerker. you’ll probably like it more than i did.
