Videodrome

Director: Cronenberg
Reviewi think that i’ve given cronenberg a good shake at this point. videodrome, fly, crash, existenz, fast company and naked lunch seem a good cross section of his work and i’ve had mixed feelings overall. the guy has a certain degree of talent for bringing the weird to the screen, but i guess it’s just not my thing. this film had more of a philosophy behind it than some of his other works, but that doesn’t mean it was any less strange. surely he should get some degree of respect for creating some truly singular films, but if i don’t like them, then i can’t give them a high grade; in this way i liken him to a canadian david lynch.
