the best film adaptation of the classic dickens tale. alastair sim is equally believable as the miserly scrooge and as the reformed, life-loving scrooge. all sentimentality aside, ebenezer scrooge is such a great name and the story really is great and life-affirming. if only more rich bastards could come around like he did.
