i suppose this is soderbergh’s cash cow. still, if you’re going to make a lot of money on a movie (and “go hollywood”) you may as well turn out a picture as good as this one. soderbergh uses all sorts of camera and editing techniques to make this film constantly changing and alive. he’ll slow things down, use wipes or flips to transition between scenes, move the camera all over the place, etc. all in an effort to keep you interested and entertained. of course this is just the style, but the film has the substance to match. it’s got a pretty nicely rounded cast of characters, plenty of comic relief and an epic heist that will entertain most who want to be entertained. soderbergh’s commentary with the writer was good enough.
