it’s funny, but it’s not coen brothers funny. it’s actually more of a farrelly brothers movie than it is a coen brothers movie. i have a feeling that the original is better, but i haven’t seen it yet. more on that later. tom hanks does a good job and i’m glad to see him getting back to comedy. really there’s not much to remark on with this film. the soundtrack was good and captured the spirit of its setting and the acting (with the exception of hanks) was suitable, but not special.
