Reviewthe 1935 version. let’s just start by saying that when it comes to me and pre-1940s films i am generally not easily impressed. this is a good film for sure. it produces some laughs and a good time is had by all, but it’s just not my bag. i didn’t notice anything that i considered technically profound and the rest was just pretty good so i can’t say i was entirely impressed…though it seems i’m supposed to be.
