it’s a 30s film and sometimes it’s hard to make that transition from newer films to older ones….this was one of those times. the narrative and acting styles are much different. while i was watching the first third of the movie i didn’t find much to really get into, but as i adjusted i came to enjoy the film. it’s a fine love story with two interesting and rich characters. i’d like to see it again.
