very well-edited documentary on the life and work of the man himself. personally revealing and artistically enlarging. with any documentary like this you’re going to come out the other end feeling as though the person was greater than when you went into it, but kurosawa was really great and no one denies that so it’s acceptable. be sure to also check out the bonus interviews after the documentary proper is over.
