Reviewbesides the good story, i think that the major accomplishment of the film is the feeling of movement it conveys. there’s a lot of energy in the film – either the camera is moving or something within the frame is moving; as a result the film never gets boring or slow. gene hackman did a real good job as an obsessed cop. it’s a good film with one pretty decent car chase, but it’s not the best film of the year (1971 – clockwork orange). it doesn’t even have the best car chase of the year (vanishing point).
