pretty straight ahead woody allen through most of the film. his acting was a bit outside of what he usually does and i think suffered slightly as a result, but he’s woody and that’s always funny to me. the plot wasn’t anything to marvel at and the script wasn’t his best. the ending was more emotional than i’ve come to expect with allen. it was good to see that he could do that (outside of annie hall).
