in tarantino’s top three films of all-time (the good, the bad and the ugly and rio bravo are the other two). i don’t think this is a top three film of all-time…it’s not even depalma’s best film…but it is good and worth watching. the ending is powerful and the relationship between the two major characters is honest and doesn’t seem contrived. it’s a good thriller from a guy who’s done better stuff.
