more funny than i remember it being after the first time i watched it (when it was in the theaters), but it doesn’t approach the fine line that the coen brothers walked in “fargo.” the characters are good – turturro, goodman and lerner all do a fine job, but the script isn’t as sharp and the film doesn’t have the pacing that fargo does. nevertheless it’s a decent film.
