sure it’s not as inventive or classic as the first two, but if it weren’t in such lofty company it would be considered a better movie than it’s currently given credit for. it’s well crafted, funny, and ultimately an adventure. it’s as well directed as the first two, but doesn’t have the newness or screenplay strength that they have. the characters, by now, have become old friends and even manage to evolve in this installment. this one deserves props.
