kubrick is more of a horror director than i ever realized. just think about his films in that context and you’ll see what i mean. the more you think about it while you’re watching his movies the more obvious it becomes. funny how i’ve never heard anyone comment on this ability of his. at any rate, this film is superb. within his top three, in my opinion.
