every actor sold me 100%. the chief of police (rod steiger) and mr. tibbs (sidney poitier) were both excellent. script was exactly as good as it needed to be. played out well, never dragged. rocked from start to finish. i think malcolm x (had he been alive to see it) would have liked it.
